Almira is located in Lincoln County approximately 85 miles west of Spokane on Highway 2.

The Annual Almira Country Fair is held each year during the last weekend in September. This event features a parade, craft show, games and other old fashioned country activities.

In April a Community Yard sale is scheduled around the Baseball Schedule.

The Hotel Almira is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Kathy McKay runs a trail horse service at Sunridge farms, 3 miles north of Almira. Riders of all skill levels can enjoy a ride through the majestic Northrup Canyon. For information call 509-639-2604  or visit

Heading North out of town on The Old Coulee road is a Blue Bird Trail, developed by the citizens in Almira. On this 20 mile stretch the bird watching is at it’s best. This trail is a loop off the tourist route called the Coulee Corridor.

Both Lake Roosevelt and Banks Lake are within 30 miles of Almira. There are a number of picnic and camping areas, and miles and miles of open water for boating and skiing. For more information on Banks lake Click Here. For more information on Roosevelt go to
