Desert 100

Odessa, a vibrant community of 1,000 residents, is located within the geographically unique area known as the Channeled Scablands of Eastern Washington. Odessa offers visitors a safe, warm, and friendly atmosphere in close proximity to outdoor recreational areas.

Deutchesfest, attracting an average of 30,000 people, is held Thursday through Sunday on the third weekend in September.  This is the community’s main event celebrating its German heritage.  Activities range from a great selection of live bands, a bed race, Beirgarten, Youth Garten, German foods, Arts and Craft Show, Flea Market, Parade, Fun run, 3 on 3 basketball, poker run, and more.

Just West of Odessa the Annual Desert 100 is held. Centered around family participation, this is an off road motorcycle race.

The Odessa Golf Club and RV Park offers a challenging 9 hole course and Reiman Park offers an Aquatic Recreation Center for all ages. The Municipal Airport has a well-maintained 3000 foot runway that welcomes visitors from near and far.

The Odessa Historisches Museum takes you back over 100 years into the past, while local genealogists will help trace your heritage at the Big Bend American Historical Society of Germans from Russia located in an historic church.

West of town are Coffee Pot Lake and Twin Lakes, examples of "channeled scabland pot holes," which offer fishing & recreational opportunities.
